Hi, nice to meet you. Like many of you, I'm a busy person who feels, at times, like they have no time for self-care. I have had a lifelong obsession with health. I've always been interested in how the body works and what makes us tick, and I've always wanted to be healthier—but it took me a while to get my act together. In my 20's, I was like most people: carefree, without much thought of the future.
Retirement seemed far off and unlikely, so why worry about it? But now that I'm older and retirement is looming on the horizon—and some days seems even closer than that—I'm finally starting to notice just how fast time is flying by. It took me a while to realize that it takes time to become super healthy and lay down the foundations for good health and longevity in retirement years. Now my life is filled with running marathons, cycling, hiking, yoga, sourdough bread baking, polyphenols (antioxidants), mindfulness practices like meditation or yoga…the list goes on! And on top of all that activity, there are diets like the keto diet (low carb), resistance bands for strength training at home…and there may be more coming soon!
So why am I tired all the time? Perhaps the trick is not to try everything all at once!
I am interested in what works to get healthy and happy while still working full time, and trying to have a social life. So I have started writing articles on how to live a happy and healthy life. It's all about how we can improve our lives by making small changes. And I think you'll find some of the blogs interesting.
